It was a lively morning at the Lower Kingman and Heritage islands. The
highlight was a couple of mixed species flocks that included Yellow Warbler,
Magnolia Warbler, American Redstart, Black-and-white Warbler, Eastern
Wood-Peewee, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Red-eyed Vireo.

The blooming stands of wild rice on the western edge of Heritage island were
attracting huge flocks of Red-winged Blackbirds.

*Additional species of interest:*
Caspian Tern
Osprey
Wood Duck
