Doris and I spent about an hour at Hughes Hollow this afternoon.
She saw a group of mixed sex migrating Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, as many as fifteen.  In addition between the two of us:  Red-headed Woodpecker  in the trees at the south end of the east impoundment, perhaps two of three. We also saw one or more

Red-bellied Woodpecker
Indigo Bunting 
Blue Bird
Goldfinch
Great-crested Flycatcher
Pewee
Phoebe
House Wren
Carolina Wren
Overflight of flock of blackbirds, probably Grackles
Turkey Vulture
Blue Jay
Agitated Mourning Dove (Dove hunters were about)

And fishing in the impoundment:
a Great Egret
a Green Heron
a Belted Kingfisher

I saw a flock of sparrows on the ground but didn't get close enough to identify.
