Yesterday I spent hawkwatching with Mark Scarff at his house in Manchester. The tally for the entire day was:
Osprey 4

This morning I spent an hour at Glen Falls and saw a few good birds:
Wood Duck 2
Yellow-billed Cuckoo 1

Unidentified Empidonax 1
White-eyed Vireo 1, heard only, singing
Red-eyed Vireo 1
Catbird 4
Black-throated Green Warbler 4
Redstart 1

I then joined Mark again for hawkwatching at his house. Today's totals were:

Sharp-shinned Hawk 5
Broad-winged Hawk 75
Kestrel 3
Merlin 1
Total 86
Seven Canada Geese appeared to be migrating in groups of four and three, flying high and headed southeast. Hummingbirds, Blue Jays, and waxwings also appeared to be on the move.
