Hi List

It's been said before on the list that hummers don't share.  I have the 3 port Hummzinger feeder and i have reported that only once or twice in the year it has been up, have i observed two hummers feeding at the same time.  Yesterday evening i felt fortunate to once again witness a pair feeding, when a third hummer approached.  It got the attention of the two feeding birds, but neither was willing to abandon his/her post to give chase.  The 3rd bird hovered near and approached the third port and was OH SO CLOSE to landing when the feeding birds finally took offense and, in unison, chased away the intruder :(
