Goodmorning,

The number of Chimney Swifts roosting in the chimney of the East Silver
Spring Elementary School has more than doubled this morning. At 6:45
AM, the first 22 exited the chimney. After about 4 minutes of no
activity, 134 more swifts tumbled out of the top of the chimney for a
total of 156. Previous maximum birds for this year seen exiting the
chimney had been 71 on Monday.

The blue Parakeet still hangs around my feeder (13 days now). I have
had several offers by people to come over and try to catch him but no
one has shown up. I was able to get within 5 inches of the bird
yesterday morning. On sunday I walked through the neighborhood with
flyers showing the bird but could find no one who had lost a parakeet.
I have a picture posted on 911 Parrot Alert and with all of the local
Internet lists in the neighborhood.
