The M-NCPPC Development Review Board met recently to consider a subdivision application for several mega-residences to be built along
Clarksburg Road, on the Shaeffer property.? The proposed development is very close to the crossing of Cool Spring Run Trail at Rte 121.? Claudia Wilds and others have reported nesting owls along the top part of this trail.? Acording to the development plan, a large section of wooded acreage will be cleared very close to where the trail crosses the road.

If anyone has hiked in this area, observed bird or other wildlife species, and would be willing to share the information, please let me know.? Neighbors in this area are very concerned about the environmental impact.
