Hi all,
My wife and daughter and I spent a brief time at Pine Run Park yesterday,
doing a bit of woodland exploring and attending the Apple Festival, before
rains drove us away. On a brief walk through the woods between the nature center
and the lake, we encountered a small migrant flock of warblers, including a
first fall male Bay-breasted, a female Black and White, a male (singing!)
Black-throated Blue, a Tennessee, and a Northern Parula, as well as Red-eyed
Vireo and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
Here at home I am still feeding at least 3 RT Hummingbirds, beating last
years late date by 2 days already.
