The previously reported White-cheeked ("Bahama") Pintail in the
Huntfield subdivision south of Charles Town, West Virginia, was still
present at noon today, Thursday October 2nd. It looked remarkably
spry and healthy and was tip-feeding actively. Numerous Mallards, a
bunch of Canada Geese and 4 Northern Shovelers were also present when
Helen Patton, Joy Bowen and I stopped by for a look.

Excellent driving directions were previously provided to MDOsprey by
Jim Boughton and Rob Hilton. It's a very easy drive from the
Frederick, MD, area.
