At around 1:30 PM Jane and I arrived at the pond in Charles Town, WV. The White-cheeked Pintail was hidden behind a Canada Goose when we first scanned, but it quickly appeared and gave us a wonderful view at close range. (The pond is small enough so that if it's in the pond, there's no way it's NOT at close range!) Also had a Northern Shoveler, and a Savannah Sparrow on the fence.
