A few times a week I go birding during my lunch break on the
Patuxent Branch Trail off Guilford Road, and most days I find very
little. Throughout the last several weeks, on some days I've
found a Magnolia and a couple Redstarts, and other days I've found
no migrants at all. Today was one of those pleasant exceptions
that keeps me coming back. All of these birds were found along
the sewerline right-of-way on the other side of the Little
Patuxent River from the paved Patuxent Branch Trail.

notables:
1 Belted Kingfisher
1 Pileated Woodpecker
2 Eastern Phoebe
2 Red-eyed Vireo
1 Philadelphia Vireo
1 Brown Creeper
1 Golden-crowned Kinglet
1 Northern Parula
2 Magnolia Warbler
2 Yellow-rumped Warbler
1 Black-throated Green Warbler
1 Mourning Warbler (1st year)
1 Scarlet Tanager
4 White-throated Sparrow
1 Indigo Bunting
