Hi All,

Nancy and I will be on the open platform at the west end of the Tubby
Cove trail near the north end of Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge
sitting for all we're worth on Sunday 12 October. We plan to be present
from just before dawn till mid-afternoon when diminishing returns hit
hard (usually around 2 to 3 PM). Anyone who wants to join us or drop by
by while we're sitting around hoping the birds come to us is welcome.
The platform is at the edge of a loblolly pine and willow oak grove and
overlooks the western end of Eastern Neck Narrows, Tubby and Calfpasture
coves, and has a sweeping view toward Baltimore on the horizon. We
usually see around 55 to 60 bird species. Bald Eagles, Caspian and Royal
Terns and a fair selection of waterfowl are usually around for much of
the day. We hope to see you on Sunday.

Good birding,

Walter Ellison & Nancy Martin
