Hi all,
I had to work in Frostburg yesterday, so on the way home I birded North Branch. The highlight at the tarps was a juvenile AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER as well as a LESSER YELLOWLEGS, and a PECTORAL SANDPIPER. Down in the fields, the sparrow show was quite impressive, with multiple LINCOLN'S, WHITE-CROWNED, WHITE-THROATED, and SAVANAH SPARROWS as well as a BOBOLINK, and some WESTERN PALM WARBLERS. Photos of the plover can be seen at the link below.
Back in Anne Arundel today, 16 October, I had a single PINE SISKIN flyover the house at lunch.
Good Birding!
