This morning I was out for a nice walk on the fireroad at Prettyboy and to the lake. There is one point on the fireroad I always stop and listen. This is the same spot where I have seen many warblers in the past. This time I was amazed at how many White Breasted Nuthatches there were in this one spot. The sounds coming from all of the Nuthatches at one time was just incredible. In this same spot there were also Chickadees, Titmouse, Downy Woodpeckers, White Throated Sparrows and a great sighting of a Brown Creeper. The lake was quiet except for three fishing boats and some crows and turkey vultures flying over.
Back in my yard I saw my first Junco of the year.
