I share Fred Schroyer's strong skepticism that any bird of prey could take  a 
goose IN FLIGHT.  Sure, eagles can take a goose on the ground.  Not  hard, 
particularly if the bird is sick or wounded, as many at the refuges are  during 
hunting season.  They would likely then eat all or part of the bird  right at 
the kill spot before trying to carry off the remainder.
 
But in flight?  Don't think an eagle would even attempt it.  Too  much effort 
for too little chance of success.
