A little late with this. Not much to report--I wasn't going to bother--but it was suggested I do so anyway b/c of the small cluster of rb nuthatches behind the Skeet Center yesterday. On Monday there'd been at least a half dozen nearby, on the picnic rd trail. I'd gone hoping to find siskins. There seem to be a lot of scattered reports with siskins--is this normal for this region? Usually more? Fewer? I know that each year is different, depending on various factors. Tim Houghton |
