Tonight while out at the North Branch of the C&O Canal, I was graced by the
presence of a single RUSTY BLACKBIRD perched atop one of the snags in a
wetland area. It seemed fitting to see this hardy bird on such a blustery
October evening. Other birds included many Yellow-rumped Warblers, several
White-throated Sparrows, and a lone WINTER WREN acting very agitated, but
only appearing in the open for a second.
Keep birding,
David
