Worcester/Somerset Highlights, Clay-colored Sparrow etc.

Hi all,



Sorry for the lateness of this, but I had to head back to Frostburg for
work yesterday and was unable to post.  I will get all of the lists
into e-bird as time allows, but for now I will post some highlights.  

Jim Brighton, Tom Feild and myself headed down to Worcester/Somerset
Counties to do some birding on Sunday 26 October.  We started the day
at Bayside, and finished at Vessey's Orchard.  Some highlights are
below-



Assateague Bayside Campground Area-

CLAY-COLORED SPARROW  1(photos at link below)

Pine Siskin  2



Skimmer Island-

Black Skimmer  14!!!



West O.C. Pond

Long-Billed Dowitcher  2



Truitts Landing

Sedge Wren  6!!

Marsh Wren  1

King Rail  2 calling

Saltmarsh Sharp-tailed Sparrow  2

Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow  6 var. sub-species (photos at link below)



North Vaughn WMA

Also large numbers of Swamp, Song, and Savannah Sparrows
