HI all,

Just got home a while ago. After doing Light Out Baltimore downtown and a quick stop by at Cylburn to check on mail and collections, decided to go to Druid Ridge to see the siskin flocks.

Just before 830am, scanned through hemlock trees and pine trees for siskins, none to be seen, then passing the maintenance buildings, going around curve on the right, there was a mixed flock on the road, scores of House Finches, goldfinches, chippers, field sparrows, wb nuthatch, juncoes, chickadees, 2 siskins and a male COMMON REDPOLL. I makde a call to a couple of friends who lives closeby, one on voice mail and got hold of John Dennehy. While he was here, I repeated trying to call one other person to no avail.

John miss the redpoll by two minutes due to pesky Redtails perched on trees and flushed 40-50 birds in all directions. He blew the car horn to get the redtails away abnd he did. Few birds came back, no redpoll. Among a small flcok that came back we found 5 siskins. We wait longer to relocated the redpoll. Had many other birds in area.

We gave up and move on to rest of the cemetery and found good size flock of goldfinches and among them was 6 and 24 siskins and that bring total of 35 PINE SISKINS. At main entrance off Park Heights Ave, stasy on main road till you get to two buildings up ahead, make a right, then two more rights, see the hemlock on left near maintenace building and move on and coming up on curve is where the mixed flock was.

Full list to come up in few minutes.
