Thanks for the kind words, but it helps to have been here for 38 years (and
two weeks), and to have had an operational King Farm a mere two blocks away.
And we can't overlook the fact that Michael was here for about half that
time. In fact, he has at least a half dozen more species for the yard list,
mostly acquired overhead in the wee hours when I was snoozing.
I must say that your yard list is quite remarkable for the short time you
have lived there.

Hi Paul (and all),
My list is growing as I expected, but should soon begin to taper off, as the
"regularly occurring species" that I might get tapers off. I could possibly
still get a thrush (other than Wood, which we hear every summer from the
nearby woods), perhaps a Hermit Thrush in passing. And swallows that might fly
over in spring, and a few warblers, or an odd vireo I haven't seen. And just
this morning I saw my first BROWN CREEPER for the yard, #110! So I should hit
120 in a couple of years then it'll get difficult.
It helps that I work at home and have time (or make time) to look around the
yard when I walk with the dog. And the surrounding woods and cow-pastures,
fields, etc. make a big difference too!
