Ross's Goose, Great Oak Pond, Kent Co. 2 Nov '08

Hi Folks,

Nancy and I made a brief stop at Great Oak Pond this afternoon and found 
a good-sized flock of Snow Geese present. After a few minutes of 
scanning, a Bald Eagle flushed many geese from the fields to the water, 
making it easier to scrutinize individual birds. We found one adult 
Ross's Goose among the 1200 or so Snows and 22 'Blue' geese. Other birds 
present included 235 Ruddy Ducks, 3 Lesser Scaup and 4 Bufflehead. The

Notes:     Bald Eagle was an immature, it flushed the Snow Geese. There were 22 "Blue" Geese among the white Snows. The Ross's Goose was an adult.
