Hi all,
I saw my FOS Pine Siskin this morning, perched in a tulip tree along the
back yard, in a mixed flock of Chipping Sparrows, Song Sparrows, juncos, and at
least 2 Savannah Sparrows, along with Goldfinches and House Finches,
bluebirds, etc. I only saw one siskin, though the flock was skittish, moving around
the edge a lot, so there may have been more. Also a Cooper's Hawk around the
yard, and a Red-tailed Hawk up early, as well as lots of TV's.

Yesterday afternoon I watched an adult Bald Eagle soar and fly over the
neighboring fields and woods, from south to east. This may have been the same
individual Bob Ringler saw at Piney Run. Also a lone gull sp. flew by about
3:30, though it went by too fast for me to make out which species. This is of
interest because I don't often see gulls here.
