Spent the morning and early afternoon birding in QA and Kent counties. Found the Northern Shrike at 10am sitting on top of the closed-road sign as soon as I pulled up. It flew to a tree on Kibler Rd and was approachable for the next 20 minutes. I took 80 photos, all somewhat backlit and have posted a few here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28640242@N02/3008734843/sizes/l/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/28640242@N02/3008734657/sizes/o/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/28640242@N02/3008734535/sizes/o/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/28640242@N02/3009572150/sizes/l/ From there I went to Eastern Neck and found a Golden Eagle and eight Bald Eagles. I then searched for several hours for Snow Geese in hopes of finding a Ross's. There were none in the Great Oak area but I finally found a flock of 220 with one Ross's at the intersection of Carroll Clark Rd and Rt. 313. _______ David Gersten Silver Spring, MD
