The Kent County Bird Club will be heading to the Chesapeake Bay
Environmental Center (Horsehead) in Grasonville and other nearby
locations in western Queen Anne's County on Saturday, 15 November. We
will meet local participants at the Dollar General parking lot in
Chestertown across from the end of Spring St. (and between Maple St -
MD-213 and Philosopher's Terrace) at 7:00 AM. Anyone who wishes to meet
us near Grasonville should call us at the number listed below. Waterfowl
migration is nearing peak with sea ducks and bay ducks supplementing
geese and dabblers, and we will also be on the lookout for gulls, loons,
grebes and other water birds, as well as late-migrant songbirds such as
sparrows and finches. The long-range forecast for Saturday includes a
chance of showers, so participants should bring along rain gear as well
as lunch.
Good birding,
