More than half of the known records are from counties bordering Chesapeake Bay, but as you can see they can can appear anywhere. Major invasions of Snowy Owls occurred here in the winters of 1876-77 (16) , 1926-27 (12), and 1949-50 (26).

Just wondering: In how many Maryland counties have Snowy Owls been seen? And
if that's too easy a question for some of you, then I'd also like to know
which of those counties have had the highest number of such sightings over
the years? Thanks!
