Ladies and Gentlemen,

I spoke with MES regarding a second trip to Poplar to see the Snowy
Owl.  It was present today and looking healthy.  There is hope that it
will not only stick around for a while, but that it will find some
good eats as well.

In any case, I don't want to step on anyone's toes regarding the
planning of this 2nd trip to the island, but the date has been chosen;
a week from tomorrow.


Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008. Boat leaves the dock at 9AM and should be
back by Noon.  I'll have directions for anyone that needs them.


If you're interested, please let me know.  The trip requires at least
9, and no more than 20.  If you'd like to be on that list, just send
me an email.  Incidentally, if someone else is already on the
'planning committee' and would prefer to take names, that's fine with
me.  I'm just happy to help others get to see this wonderful winter
visitor.

And the Snow Buntings would be just one added bonus to this December
trip out into the Bay.
