Not directly a response, but I thought a couple of positives might be
	of general interest:

When I dropped my 2-yr old Nikon Monarch bins and sent them to
Nikon Tech Services, the realignment & cleaning was completely free.
I paid only the initial shipping. They also carry a life-time free
replacement
	guarantee.

When my 10-yr old Kowa TSN scope developed an internal smear
KOWA Tech Services completely disassembled, cleaned, realigned and
returned it at no cost save for my initial shipping.

There are still some professional business-like outfits.
