Late this morning (Thurs, 11/27) I made a quick walk through the LBJ
grove along the GW Parkway (on Columbia Island, which is DC land).
There was a mixed flock of passerines that included at least 1 PINE
WARBLER and an albilora YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER. Most of the other
birds were GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET (the most numerous species), 2
RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, 1 HERMIT THRUSH, plus the usual suspects
(chickadees, titmice, etc.). I had a glimpse of an olive-backed,
wingbar-less bird (another warbler?), but lost it and never refound it.

Good birding and happy thanksgiving,
