Also, how common are Bald Eagles at Blue Mash?

Hi Bob,
Bald Eagle is not terribly uncommon at Blue Mash, especially during the
late fall through early spring season. I see them fairly often there (as
elsewhere this time of year). We were out shopping at Martins in Eldersburg last
Sunday morning and when we came out I looked up to see a couple of TUVU's and an
adult BAEA flying around there.

The Red-tailed Hawk sounds to me like a typical eastern bird, perhaps a bit
lighter than normal, though there is a lot of leeway for what is normal in
this highly variable species.

Happy Thanksgiving,
