Woops, that got sent before it was finished... Let me try again:

Mike Walsh found an Ash-throated Flycatcher in Rehobeth, MD, which is in Somerset County near Vessey's Orchard. Mike will post all the details when he gets home this evening, but in case anyone is in the area this afternoon here is a little info.

I gather that Mike first saw the bird sometime around noon today. He first saw the bird by the yellow house near the boat ramp on Coventry Parish Rd, which leads to the Pocomoke River. The bird later flew very close to his car and perched in a nearby tree before being chased off by a mockingbird. After this, Mike did not relocate the bird, although he tried for about 30 minutes. Mike took extensive notes.

If you are unfamilar with Rehobeth, MD, maybe this will help: it's near the fine communities of Indian Hammock, Shelltown, and Frogeye.

In case that didn't work, try this: south on US 13 from Salisbury, southwest on Rt 677, left on Coventry Parish Rd (according to GoogleEarth, but may be marked as Old Rehobeth Rd initially), bear left at the fork to stay on Coventry Parish Rd, look for the yellow house near the boat ramp.

With a little luck I'll get out of here before dark for a little searching myself...

Congrats to Mike on a great find!!

Have fun,
