A couple weeks ago in my post on the Worcester rarities roundup I included that I saw a Clay-colored Sparrow on Assateague on 16 November. More detailed review of my photos indicate this individual was a particularily dull Chipping Sparrow so for the record am I retracting this observation.

Since posts to MDOsprey do filter to North American Birds, Maryland Birdlife and private data bases, it is important that rejudgements on major (and in this case minor) rarities be noted in the same forum.
