Folks
I spend this cold, blustery morning updating my website: www.georgejett.net. With apologies, it has been over a month since I up dated the site. Look under Recent Images for the latest.
I have been doing a big photo year as a fund raising effort for the American Bird Conservancy trying to photograph 300 species in Maryland in 2008. Currently with the Thayer's Gull at the Salisbury Landfill on Friday, I am at 304 species photographed in MD to date, and three weeks to go. Next year I ma doing a big yard year.
My goal now is 310. Hoping for a successful pelagic on See Life Pelagics next Saturday, wish me well. If you are interested in the pelagic do a google search or to http://www.paulagics.com/. I will be looking for Black-legged Kittiwake, Razorbills, and both Murres, and hoping the weather is not like it is today.
If you are interested in helping this fund raising effort, I recently got a match donor who remains anonymous, but will match all money raised up to $5000. Your dollar could be two (2) dollars to help the Blue-knobbed Curassow in Colombia. The money will be used to buy in holdings in the current preserve. I do not get anything for this other then the satisfaction of knowing we are helping protect a critically endangered species. If interested, contact me off line.
Burrrr! Stay warm.
George
