Hi Folks,
   Concerning the mallard-pintail hybrid at Blackwater NWR, there is an
excellent illustration of the bird, along with other numerous mallard "mixes,"
on plate 36 of Kortright's The Ducks, Geese and Swans of NA (1962).
   There is also a hooded merganser-American goldeneye hybrid.  Has
anyone ever seen this bird?
