Sorry for the late post. After birding with others at Vessey's Orchard
on Saturday for the Western Kingbird and Lark Sparrow (score !), one of
the more productive stops we made was a large gull flock on the north
side of Route 50 about 1/2 mile west of Route 113. The seemingly
unnamed road was directly across Rt. 50 from Route 346. The gull flock
had at least 2 different Lesser Black-backed Gulls and one GLAUCOUS
GULL. I was trying to ascertain whether it was a full adult or 3rd
winter when the flock took flight and I lost site of it.
