At dawn today (Sat, 12/13), Gary Allport & I saw an ICELAND GULL take
off from the gull flock that roosted on the Tidal Basin. All the gulls
flew towards and up the Potomac River. Only other birds of note today
were a COMMON LOON and 2 LAUGHING GULLS in Washington Channel, c250
LESSER SCAUP at the mouth of the Anacostia, and a BROWN THRASHER at
Kenilworth Park.
Good Birding,
