Good day in Frederick County. All of this occured on Delorme p. 55.
Among several hundred Horned Lark near the intersection of Rt 85 and Oland Rd, we saw 5-6 Lapland Longspur, including one taking a vigorous bath in a field puddle. They were reasonably close to the road and it made for good viewing, especially with the scope.
Later, on Rt. 28, there was 1 blue-phase Snow Goose mixed in with hundreds of Canada Goose.
At Little Seneca Reservoir, among hundreds of other, more common, waterfowl were 15 Canvasback and several thousand crows flying to roost.
Back at home in Silver Spring, I've had 3 Pine Siskin visiting the feeders, along with 2 Hairy Woodpecker.
