This has been discussed brefore (check archives). To drive in the ORV zone you need a $90 permit and a vehicle sutable for drive on (sometimes deep) sand. Info on National Seashore website.

	Fellow OSPREYers - Lisa and I are thinking about going to try for the Snowy Owl at Assateague this weekend. Was wondering if anybody has a good fix on its last known sighting, as well as any logistical recommendations - do you need an ORV and/or a permit of some kind to get to the site? Or do you have to hike 6 miles each way?
