I visited Brighton Dam today from 3:00-3:50.  Note that they CLOSE the gates at 4:00, and you can be cited for lingering.  Visible from the dam were

Common Merganser -- skittish, too many to bother counting
Red-breasted Merganser - 1 male, 1 female
Common Loon - 1
Horned Grebe - 1
Bald Eagle - 2 adults, 1 immature (I don't age these things yet!)
