Kathy: undoubtedly the same bird Lisa and I saw on Sunday at the corner of Route 2 and Route 261, in a flock of CAGOs. First we'd ever seen in the county! A (not so great) pic of it is on our blog...

Yesterday Jo Anna Leachman and I birded along the western bayshore at
Chesapeake Beach, North Beach, and Herrington Harbor. Among the many
bufflehead and scaup, we had 30+ each goldeneye and long-tailed ducks, a
pair of canvasback, 1 ruddy duck, and 1 common loon. There was also a
single snow goose in with 200+ canada geese on the west side of Friendship
Road ( Rte 261) in a large open field (lawn?) north of Rose Haven Pond.
