Calvert County
 
The best bird at the American Chestnut Land Trust was a Red-headed Woodpecker at the swamp.  On the way back I chanced on a mixed flock with a Hermit Thrush on the fringes, and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet scolding.  
 
Best bird North Beach -- some Canvasback mixed in with scaup.  A  Horned Grebe near some Bufflehead. 
 
Patuxent River, near Benedict, (Charles & Calvert)
 
DC Cormorants, Lesser scaup, Ruddy Ducks and coots
 
Chesapeake Ranch Estates:
 
Surf Scoter, Common Goldeneye, Long-tailed Ducks, Ruddy Ducks,  Red-breasted Mergansers
 
Solomons
 
Rock Pigeon
American Coots
 
 
Oh, and the neighborhood Bald Eagle is on its nest.
