Fran and I just returned from watching (and hopefully photographing) the
Tufted Duck in company of a female Ring-necked Duck, about a dozen scaup,
several buffleheads and long-tailed ducks, and a lone surf scoter, all just
inside the outer barrier of the Cambridge Municipal Marina at the end of
High Street, the exact area where the bird was seen yesterday, as described
by Phil Davis. The time was 8:30 and we watched them for about 10 minutes
before they all lifted and flew outside the marina barrier. I imagine they
will return inside the barrier since this appears to be a favorite area for
them.

Good luck!

Norm
