Hi all at first light on Sunday I arrived at the High street waterfront in Cambridge there were other birders there and I hooked up with several Talbot Bird Club Members Levin Willey , Steve Ford we quickly located the Tufted Duck along with several other birders just off of were the red roofed shack is but near the floating docks . We however were more interested in finding the Barrows Goldeneye at this point we were joined by Bill Harris . We soon Located in well inside the Marnia were we got decent looks through our scopes . I was taken slightly aback at how easy it was to Id . I expected it to harder then it was . Steve soon departed for other haunts . We did see the E Wigeon in its perfered spot as described in others postings . Levin then Departed as well . Bill and I soon had The Barrows with a female Common for a great comparison . I was able to get some distant shots of the bird with my camera as well as a couple of shots of it flying twords us when flushed by others on a nearby pier . I will let you all know when I get them posted . Great Birds The Barrows Was a life bird as well.
