Today I visited Cambrdige with Debbie Terry, Don Jewell, and Bill Ellis. Others birders were also present for part of the time. Between 1115 and 1200 we watched the female Barrow's Goldeneye swimming and diving among the pilings and boats in the marina. Bill saw it drop in and that was our only clue that it was present. It was often difficult to see but eventually we had excellent views. The male Tufted Duck was in the large scaup flock that was on the east side of Great Marsh Park. We saw it about 1230 when Bill picked it out. No one reported seeing the Eurasian Wigeon.

At Blackwater seen from the wildlife drive were about 20 White Pelicans, 1 Greater Yellowlegs, and about 125 Dunlin. Photographers flushed the Snow Goose flock out of the nearby fields into the marsh, too far away to observe effectively. The only ducks we saw were small numbers of Mallard, Shoveler, and Pintail.
