Hi all,
I went out looking for waterfowl this morning in AA County. Not too much to
report. A large mixed raft containing Ruddy Ducks and Canvasbacks is on the
creek side of Greenbury Point. Out at the end their are several diving
Buffleheads and Common Goldeneyes. On the walk out to the end I saw a
Sharpy catch a sparrow and then fly of with it in its talons. I also saw a
Chipping Sparrow, the first I have seen this winter.

The flock of Canvasbacks at Thomas Point Park has grown to an enormous
size. I would estimate that their are over 2000 individuals with some
mallards, tundra swans, and mute swans. I was also able to pick out 2
Redheads before my face froze in the wind.

Good Birding,
Chris Murray
