This is a brief, composite report of Saturday and Sunday's birding of Worcester County by as many as 9 birders (10 if you count a brief dinner appearance by Mikey "Mr. Delaware" Lutmerding). Our numbers dropped precipitously when 3 or our comrades decided to drive home on Saturday night via Massachusetts.

Saturday -- John Hubbell, Jim Green, Jim Stasz, Bill Hubick, Jim Brighton, Ron Gutberlet, Zach Baer, Matt Hafner, Hans Holbrook.

Northern Saw-whet Owl -- Assateague (JS, JG, JH)
Snow Buntings (6) -- Assateague (JS, BH, JB, JG, JH, RG)
Glaucous Gull -- Worcester Landfill (MH, BH, JB, JG, JH, RG)
spotted by visiting out-of-state birder Matt Hafner
Ross's Goose -- overhead outside landfill (MH, JH, JG)
Snowy Owl (2) -- ORV Zone (all)
one bird was on the beach near the water and made two flights out over
    the ocean.
Dovekie -- ORV Zone (all)
spotted by Jim Brighton very close to the beach. Great scope
views and full-frame photographs. Be sure to visit billhubick.com later this
   week.

Sunday -- Jim Stasz, John Hubbell

Sedge Wren - Truitt's Landing
Ross's Goose (2) -- in flocks of Snow Geese
Golden Eagle - Truitt's Landing
I saw an eagle chasing a small bird across the marsh. I focused on
the small bird -- a Merlin. Fortunately, Jim focused on the eagle
and noticed it was a Golden, not a Bald. It then circled back overhead.
American Bittern -- Taylor's Landing.
Orange-crowned Warbler -- Vaughn North, which also had large numbers of
   sparrows, including Fox and White-crowned.
Northern Bobwhite (10) -- Vaughn South
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Red-breasted Nuthatch -- Hickory Point

After I left for home, Jim Stasz texted that he had a Short-eared Owl
and Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow at St. George's landing.

On the drive back, I was able to see a Long-tailed Duck at Choptank in
Caroline County found by Matt Hafner and Hans Holbrook.
