My wife and I saw the following at the upper end of Lake Elkhorn during our walk in the afternoon snow showers. A male and female Hooded Merganser among the mallards, a female Belted Kingfisher, and at least eight Pine Siskins sharing the feeders (at the house by the bridge) with goldfinches and House Finches. An immature Cooper's Hawk then scattered all the birds. Back at Brush Run we saw a Winter Wren.
