As Bill Hill mentioned in his post, Dave Powell and I found a flock of White-winged Crossbills in Howard County this morning on Hispley Mill Rd. near the intersection of Annapolis Rock Rd. Conservatively, we saw 10-15 birds, but they were difficult to count as they were very active and mixed in with about 20-25 Pine Siskins. There are a lot of tree with cones in that area (including Union Chapel Rd) so worth checking.

After Dave left, I went up the road to Piney Run Park in Carroll County. The trees around the parking area didn't have any birds while I was there, so I walked the loop trail on the south end of the park. At the southernmost end of the trail, I found 1 male White-winged Crossbill and 15 Pine Siskins feeding in the trees.
