Tuesday afternoon prior to 2:50 a couple of birders viewed the Snowy Owl
at the Oxford Lab.  Then the bird flew off - toward the north.  Several
hopeful birders searched the town and the waterfront without success, then
returned to the lab in hopes the Owl would also come back.  I left at 4:30,
and when I got home was met with a message that Gordon and Pam Jennings of
the Talbot Bird Club had relocated the Owl on top of the Oxford Water Tower
shortly after I left.  
    It sounds like there is a reasonable chance that the Owl will hang
around Oxford for awhile, so checking for it over the next few days would
seem worthwhile.  Whether or not it returns to the Oxford Lab site is
anyone's guess.
