Hi Everyone,

The Snowy Owl reports provided incentive for me to make my first visit to Oxford (Talbot Co) this afternoon. I did not see the owl, but an adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was present with large numbers of Herring and Ring-billed Gulls. I first saw the LBBG by looking south from the gravel parking lot near the NE end of E. Strand Rd; and the gull could also be viewed well from the NE end of Tilghman St.

I briefly scanned the Canada Goose flocks along Rt 333 on my way back to US 50. I was hoping for a Greater White-fronted Goose but was happy to settle for a CACKLING GOOSE (RICHARDSON'S) instead.

A timely call from Jim Brighton alerted me to the presence of a male WHITE-WINGED SCOTER along the Cambridge waterfront (close to shore behind the hospital). Nice! Thanks, Jim!
