I just got an email from Mike Smolek, the director of Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum. He has placed a barricade across the gravel trail down to the pier. So, you will need to drive beyond the gravel road and park on the left beyond the archaeology complex and walk down. It's probably only about 1/2 mile and the weather is quite nice. Enjoy!
