You've got 140 characters to say what you are doing and your "followers" see
your updates.

I just found out from another person the list that there is a twitter bird
group http://twittgroups.com/group/birds

I follow birders from all over the world -- it is just another way to keep
in touch with things / folks in which you are interested.
